So, the Chesterville Spin in was a whole lot of fun.  I won a door prize !  142 yards of Shetland Lopi -Chunky from Karberry Farm .

I bought some rich red/brown llama to spin , it came with a free magazine .  I chose an old copy Knitting Traditions .  There is a pattern for lace socks knit in lace weight yarn on 1.75mm needles that I started knitting.  It's very addictive , I can barely put them down.

Next purchase was from Etsy Silk hankies from BC . This lady is so cool, she only uses natural ingredients to dye with .  I think I bought it just because of the bag it came in , all hand much love goes into her work.  Check out her shop.  I follow her on instagram too. Oh..... instagram I love you so...  There are a whole lot of knitters on instagram check it out!

I'm Back

This is what I'm listening to these days.

I'm still churning out the pins and stitch markers and will be vending at the Chesterville Spin-In .  I have a feeling it's going to be a great time.

I will let you now how it goes.

Keep Creating

So happy to be back vending at Twist in Quebec .  It wasn't as hot as it was last year.  It was great fun , saw familiar faces, and we were treated really well.  It's the second year for the festival I'm sure attendance was up from last year.

My pins are presently in Almonte at the 18th annual fibrefest with Turtlepurl.

Next week I will be at Wolfe Island's 2nd fibrefest. I've never been to Wolfe Island I'm really looking forward to it.

While I'm vending at Wolfe Island , my line will be with Debbie of Sheeps Ahoy in Kitchener Waterloo.

Hope you are all well!  Keep creating.  Keep smiling.

Happy New Year

I haven't been posting much.  I have been quiet these days , quiet as mouse.  Some major changes will be happening at the end of the month and perhaps I have been reserving my energy.  I wish you all well for 2013, and may many blessings come your way.

I'm still working away at making accessories and growing my business. As I look back on the past year I would like to thank the following stores for carrying my products.

Yarn Forward , Kanata

Yarn Forward,  Ottawa

Lettuce Knits, Toronto

The Loop , Halifax

Wabi Sabi, Ottawa

Knit Knackers, Smith Falls

Art & Soul , Ottawa

Unraveled , Merrickville

Today was an exciting day teaching wire knitting .  There were eight people enrolled but because of the weather only 6 showed up.  It was white out conditions here in Ottawa.
It's always a thrill to be around curious and creative minds.  I learn so much from people when I teach.
Hope your weekend was as good as mine.

I was so honored to be an instructor at the Needler's Retreat in Gananoque.  Of course Debbie Wilson of was our hostess with the mostess!  I taught knitting with wire. We made a bracelet , while I gave tips and tricks how to knit with wire.  Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and that made me very happy.  Thank you Debbie for having me.  I had a great time.

Awesome score at the local thrift shop.  A sexy orange leather coat with white stripes.  I want to be driving in a 1970's yellow corvette when I'm wearing it.   A black leather Roots bag both in perfect condition. The jacket was 29.99 and the purse 14.99, plus I had a coupon for 5 dollars off.

The pile of orange yarn is Manos Maxima that I bought from Yarn Forward, in hopes of making Natalie's new cowl pattern.  Yes she's dones it again!  A new pattern .  I don't think she sleeps.  It's called Wrapped Ribs Scarf/Cowl

I loved this colour so much I'm planning on making one right away.  Turtlepurl dyed this yarn.

Next on the agenda is teaching wire knitting at the Needler's Retreat in Gananoque.
Have a happy halloween !
